Southwest City was very safe, affordable, and the location was close enough to the school. Dogtown was also very safe, affordable, and short drive from the school, too. Clayton is very nice, safe, a short drive to the school, but the rent is a bit higher there. I lived in all of these areas through my internship and/or graduate school at SLU.

Why did you choose to apply to this program?
It was a "general" program and was out of state; but my options on the second round were minimal. I had not considered this program on the first matching round.
Why did you choose to apply to this program?
It was my first choice, I know that SLU had a very good reputation, and I was very happy with the undergraduate program.
Why did you choose to apply to this program?
Proximity to "home". It offered the option of completion of a master's degree in nutrition and dietetics. Reviews by former interns of the program.

Why did you choose to apply to this program?
I wanted to attend a DI in St. Louis because I have family here so I researched all the programs in St. Louis at the time. I chose SLU because the program includes 12 hours of graduate school classes/credit. Following the internship, you can choose to use those hours toward a MS in Medical Dietetics, Nutrition and Physical Performance or combined MS and MPH. It takes about another 1- 1.5 years.
